The project will also have light-touch interventions on green transition to respond to climate change and increasing green-related market requirements. The SheTrades Commonwealth + project will have a greater focus on the mutual benefits of UK trading arrangements for developing country partners and for women-led businesses than it had in previous years.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the effective planning and implementation of STC+ activities across Programme countries. 
  • Manage and coordinate partner, donor and stakeholder communications. 
  •  Draft and finalize project documents and communication materials (e.g. donor reporting, annual review, proposals, etc.). 
  • Edit, proofread, and review project activity documents (e.g. concept notes, programme agendas, communication materials, etc.)
  • Coordinate and organise the UK-India Trade Mission.
  • This will include mobilization of buyers, selection and matching of women-led businesses and buyers based on product suitability and export-readiness criteria, company visits outreach, and logistical organisation of the trade mission and post-trade mission follow-ups. 
  •  Manage buyer relationships and support in facilitating buyer-seller linkages for market access activities under the Programme. 
  • Conduct through follow-ups to track and record the development of business leads and deals from past business generation activities organised under the Programme. 
  •  Develop, maintain and oversee a database of the progressive results of business generation activities under the programme. 
  •  Draft and review programme success stories based on business generation activity follow ups with UK buyers and women-led businesses. 
  •  The contractor is obliged to provide full access to ITC external and internal auditors to documents and information. In addition, the contractor shall comply with any audit undertaken in line with the financial regulations and rules of the United Nations.   
  • Copyright  The Consultant has to ensure that s/he has obtained the necessary permissions with regard to intellectual property rights required to perform his/her services under this consultancy contract and for the subsequent dissemination by ITC in any form.
  • Documentary proof is to be submitted to ITC.
  • Should any license fee be due for the use of copyrighted materials of third parties, the Consultant shall request the prior written permission from ITC.
  • S/he has further to ensure to obtain accreditation to event(s), if required.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree (MA/MSc/MBA, PHD or other) in a relevant field of study e.g., international trade, international development, business administration, economics, communications, etc.
  • Extensive relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the university degree. 
  • At least two years of professional experience.
  • Knowledge on reporting and monitoring, experience in results-based management (RBM) desirable.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite considered an advantage
  •  Excellent drafting skills to produce high-quality documents.
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and leverage a professional network.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, even under time pressure.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
