IFRC is led by its Secretary General, and has its Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. The Headquarters are organized into three main Divisions: (i) National Society Development and Operations Coordination; (ii) Global Relations, Humanitarian Diplomacy and Digitalization; and (iii) Management Policy, Strategy and Corporate Services.

IFRC has five regional offices in Africa, Asia Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, Europe, and the Americas.  IFRC also has country cluster delegation and country delegations throughout the world. Together, the Geneva Headquarters and the field structure (regional, cluster and country) comprise the IFRC Secretariat.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Objectives:

  • Ensure timely and high-quality implementation of project activities according to the donor contract including adequate monitoring and reporting.
  • Provide ongoing support to the ARCS project team in project implementation, monitoring and reporting (including administrative tasks as well as content wise support).

Tasks:

  • Overall oversight and supervision of the project.
  • Active communication with ARCS project team and AutRC HQ (regular meetings).
  • Work in close collaboration with ARCS on aspects of monitoring and evaluation of the project activities in order to mutually share knowledge and experience.
  • Support to the planning and implementation of the activities by ARCS project team (e.g. kick-off meeting).
  • Ensuring receipt of timely financial reports and coordinating with ARCS finance department and AutRC finance officer in Tbilisi including audit processes.
  • Narrative reporting reflecting project progress and achievement of indicators.
  • To fulfill his/her mission to project site AutRC overall project manager will be supported by ARCS concerning infrastructure and logistics.
  • Liaise with ADA delegation in Armenia.

Education:

Required: 

  • University degree, preferably in the field of business administration, public health, international development or similar

Experience:
Required: 

  • At least 3 years’ project management experience

Preferred:

  • 2 years’ experience within RC/RC environment, nationally or internationally
  • Experience in working as project manager in social/health sector

Knowledge, Skills and Languages:
Required: 

  • Proven project cycle management skills
  • Proven organizational, coordination and communication skills
  • Energetic, proactive, and oriented to problem solving
  • Excellent skills in teamwork
  • Dedication to Red Cross/Red Crescent fundamental principles
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Armenian

Preferred:

  • Good command of another IFRC official language (French, Spanish or Arabic)
