About the Position

The Culture Department seeks to recruit a Project Manager to work in the area of cultural policy.We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced arts manager with demonstrated expertise in cultural policy. We are looking for a judicious combination of a „doer‟ (who is able to execute activities and events) and „thinker‟ (who brings ideas and intellectual content to policy-related projects). The candidate should necessarily be able to write well in English on a range of policyissues. The candidate must be interested and able to work collaboratively.The successful candidate will assist the Department Director in developing and implementingspecific projects (such as research studies and dialogue platforms) in the area of cultural policy.She/he should have the ability to shape projects aligned with the Department‟s goals and take thelead in delivering high-quality outputs.This is a full-time position based in Singapore.

  • Project management of activities in the area of cultural policy (e.g. research studies, setup dialogue platforms, nurture networks), which involve multiple partners from Asia andEurope
  • Contribute substantively to the intellectual content of policy projects
  • Write excellent briefing documents, project proposals/reports & other communicationmaterials (in English)
  • Produce high-quality events and publications
  • Plan and implement all project-related communication (including on social media)
  • Maintain a project-related database of contacts and actively nurture long-termrelationships with government agencies, civil society partners and alumni
  • Manage projects on budget and prepare project budgets, contracts and financial reports(in line with the requirements of a publicly-funded organisation)

Requirements for the Position


  • Candidates must be citizens and passport holders of ASEM countries.
