Job Description

The Public Health Foundation of India is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders.

Project Brief:

This project does research on disease burden and assesses the impact of interventions. This project involves a wide range of work, including identification of suitable data sources, population-based surveys, a variety of analyses, interpretation and utilization of the findings, and interaction with a range of stakeholders. This research work offers opportunity to be associated with innovative policy relevant research and career advancement for candidates with interest in public health. We emphasize publications from our research in which the research team members participate. We have opening for a person to assist with the management of this project.


The major responsibilities of this position will be as follows:

  • Work with senior investigators to coordinate the work of the project
  • Liaise with a variety of institutions and stakeholders for project work
  • Compile information in a logical manner
  • Prepare minutes of internal meetings and meetings with stakeholders
  • Participate in preparation of project reports and publications
  • Any other task assigned by the PI


Essential: Degree/Diploma in Public Health or related fields


Essential: Around 3 years of experience in health projects


  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Effective team work
  • Strong attention to detail and methodological approach
  • Willingness to work with timelines
  • Ability to execute tasks efficiently
