The Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP), with secretariat offices in GGGI (Seoul) and UNEP (Geneva), is a global community of policy, business, and finance professionals and organisations committed to collaboratively generating, managing, and sharing knowledge on the transition to an inclusive green economy.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated individual to support the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) team in the Climate Action and Inclusive Development (CAID) unit to support implementation of knowledge services and activities as part of regional and global projects.
This internship is expected to be particularly beneficial for candidates who seek early-stage development into project management professionals in international organisations or in international development contexts.
Under direct supervision of the Senior Officer, Green Growth Knowledge Partnership, the intern will perform the following tasks:
Perform background research for and provide inputs to funding proposals, concept notes, operational strategy and other project documents.
Support implementation of project activities, including coordination with project partners, updating project webpages and web content, supporting preparation of project-related online and in-person events.
Track progress and results of project activities; suggest and implement improvement measures.
Identify, collect, summarise and post knowledge resources including research publications, case studies, impact stories and multimedia from partners and other established sources (universal task for all interns in the team)
Eligibility
To be eligible for an internship, candidates must:
Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (ideally in final year), Master’s or PhD program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
Possess an excellent command of English.
Qualification
Academic or experience background in public policy, international studies, environmental policy, economics, business, communications or a related field preferred.
Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn various topics of sustainable development.
Excellent English communication skills, particularly writing and/or editing experience in one or more fields related to green growth or international topics in professional context. Working level familiarity with other UN working languages or languages of GGGI member countries is not expected but would be a plus.
Proven computer literacy in standard office software applications, as well as willingness to learn new tools.
Good interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds and time zones.

GGGI evaluates applications based on: eligibility requirements, relevance of academic study and work experience (if any); and the level of interest and motivation to contribute to development work.
