About the job

Under the supervision of the Child Protection Team Leader, the incumbent will be responsible for carrying out child protection activities in different schools in the designated location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize a calendar of recreational activities according to age, gender and children’ abilities
  • Ensure daily log of children participating in each activity
  • Regular reporting to line manager as required
  • Conduct recreational activities for children with positive and cheerful attitude in non‐violent environment
  • Conduct awareness activities in line with DRC mandates and policies under the supervision and training of DRC staff
  • Conduct PSS program for children, Youth and Parenting programs under the supervision of DRC staff
  • Ability to apply other protection related programs including individual protection assistance, community-based interventions and others as required
  • Engage and communicate with children in activities to encourage positive interaction
  • Flexible in moving around the designated area of operations
  • Any other duties assigned by the line manager.

About you:

Required:

  • Bachelor degree in Sociology, psychology or education or any related field.
  • Minimum two years experience working with children
  • Average usage of MS Word & MS Excel
  • Fluency of the Arabic language
  • Average command of the English language.
