Job Description

The role

The post holder will lead the quality assurance of Save the Children Philippines’ Technical Assistance to DILG’s i-Local Disaster Risk Governance program and other related initiatives in partnership with the Office for Project Development Services, the Local Government Academy, and other DILG bureaus. The Quality Assurance Coordinator (QAC) is responsible for integrating the Child-Centered Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CCCBDRRM) Quality Assurance System (QAS) into the Local Disaster Risk Information System (LDRIS) to enable DILG and LGUs monitor and effective CCCBDRRM planning and implementation.

Qualifications and experience

  1. University degree in social sciences, statistics, demography, economics, development, education, public health, or a related field.
  2. Five (5) years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, research or impact assessment within a development or humanitarian context.
  3. Functional MEAL knowledge. Ability to design, execute and roll out overarching and component plans, and perform data collection, management, processing, and analysis tasks using data software.
  4. Highly developed communication and reporting skills, both written and verbal. Can synthesize complex plans and information into digestible forms and present them convincingly and instructively.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment, working with partners, and consistently delivering on time.

Contract length: Fixed term position until December 31, 2018 based in Makati City, Philippines
