IJM is seeking a highly experienced, service-minded professional to serve as the Regional Director of Human Resources for North America. The Regional Director will be strategic and innovative in translating IJM’s vision into HR initiatives that will improve performance and drive employee engagement. Further this position will be responsible to implement programs, processes and KPIs related to Diversity and Inclusion, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Leadership Development trainings, etc. for the U.S. and Canada offices. This position is also responsible for maintaining and enhancing IJM’s human resources by planning, implementing, developing and maintaining employee relations, human resource policies, procedures, and practices in the region.

This position is based at IJM Headquarters in the Washington, DC area and reports to the Regional President, North America.


  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall organization vision and program goals resulting in high performance culture and increased employee engagement;
  • Oversee the planning and execution of Talent Acquisition, establish and maintain Performance Management and Training and Development to equip staff and create a collaborative working culture;
  • Monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures and ensure legal compliance to nurture a positive working environment; and
  • Proactively develop strategic partnership with the senior management as well as line managers.


  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in human resources or organizational development preferred;
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the HR field and minimum of 5 years in a leadership position;
  • Experience in creating Diversity & Inclusion programs preferred;
  • Extensive knowledge of the regions labor laws;
  • Ability to lead organizational transformation;
  • Demonstrated skills in strategic planning and management for results; and
  • Ability to travel to Canada office.
