You will be responsible for leading effective resourcing, management and development of Human Resources for the Middle East and Commonwealth of Independent States (MECIS) Region across the full spectrum of our humanitarian, development and campaigning work.

The role

The purpose of the Regional HR Manager is to ensure that HR contributes effectively to people resourcing, management and development of our staff within the MECIS region and that HR is aligned to the region’s strategic goals.

The Regional HR Manager will lead the HR agenda across the 13 MECIS countries and Regional Centre through strong management of the Regional HR team and matrix of country based HR staff. The role will manage complex HR issues, support significant change in the region and proactively anticipate and manage any HR risks.

The Regional HR Manager will be part of the senior leadership team for Oxfam’s MECIS region and be expected to provide exceptional leadership and direction as part of this team.

What we are looking for

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior HR Manager, with substantial and proven track record of implementing impactful Human Resource strategy, as well as managing the day to HR priorities across complex multi-locations/ geographical regions. You will be dedicated to strong performance management and development of HR teams and understand the importance of supporting growth in HR Manager roles.

Innovative and driven you will be confident working at leadership level. You will have strong communication skills and understand the complexities of working in a multicultural environment.

It would be a significant advantage if you have experience of supporting or managing large scale change processes and knowledge and understanding of our MECIS Region.
