The South Asia and Pacific (SAP) region provides oversight to ten countries where the focus is program implementation and/or fundraising activities, including India, Indonesia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Timor Lester, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu.

Location : Remote in South Asia UK- time zone compatible location: Philippines, Bangladesh, Thailand, Sri Lanka

Responsibilities  :

  • Reporting to the Chief Field Operations Officer, you will direct regional operations, provide leadership to ten national directors and a senior operations director, and ensure effective management of ministry in alignment with WVI's vision, mission, core values, and global strategic directions.
  • You’ll manage the regional operations budget, oversee governance, delivery of WVI’s partnership promise and stewardship strategies, develop the skills and spiritual growth of the leadership team, and ensure accountability of the national offices.
  • Deliver WVI’s mission through national offices in alignment with global strategy.
  • Successfully drive continuous operational improvement across national offices.
  • Oversee operations and partnership policies to maximize quality of ministry.
  • Support organizational change and conflict resolution processes.
  • Engage with WVI’s boards and represent the WVI President on national boards.

Requirements  :

  • You are a senior, engaging, hands-on regional operations leader, aligned with WVI’s values and mission, and able to work effectively within the ethos of a Christian organisation.
  • You bring significant senior organizational, operational and governance leadership experience within the humanitarian or related sectors and your work demonstrates successful regional delivery of global operational strategies.
  • You can navigate large matrix organizations and have the skill and maturity to provide spiritual leadership and development to a highly experienced executive team. Your work includes effective leadership across diverse counties, programs, and teams in Asia and you have a good understanding of the geopolitical context of the region.
  • Deep experience managing multi-cultural leadership teams.
  • Leading successfully in conflict and post-conflict contexts.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and board liaison skills.
  • Financial operations management including budget (USD 100M min).
  • Ability to deal decisively with complex situations and lead organizational change.
