Job Description

ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Regional Public Health Surveillance Coordinator seconded to Gambella RHB - Ethiopia. The incumbent will responsible for support the facility-based surveillance for COVID-19 and other notifiable conditions, as well as the implementation, and maintenance of information systems, and perform complex data analysis. He/she will prepare reports and presentations that aim to produce better understanding and insights and develop data visualizations dashboard for COVID-19 surveillance activities which will be used for cluster/outbreak investigation. He/she is expected to work closely with the ICAP in Ethiopia and US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) surveillance and program team members and other partners.

  • ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill Regional Public Health Surveillance Coordinator seconded to Gambella RHB position by April 30, 2021.
  • The successful candidate will hold Bachelor’s Degree in health, and master’s degree in public health (MPH) or Health Informatics and at least six (6) years of progressive professional experience in Health program preferably on HIV/AIDS and public health surveillance program data Management.
  • The incumbent will have a demonstrated track record working on US Government-supported programs including NGO experience, Ability to have Strong oral and written skills in English, Previous experience working at National or Regional level is advantageous.
