Founded in 2011, the International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) is an international non-governmental organisation that supports humanitarian aid workers by establishing safety coordination platforms in insecure contexts. INSO provides registered NGOs with a range of free services, including real-time incident tracking, analytical reports, safety-related data and mapping, crisis management support, staff orientations and training.
INSO provides daily support to more than 1000 NGOs operating in 16 of the world’s most insecure countries.
INSO is registered in the Netherlands with its headquarters based in The Hague, the international city of peace and justice.
Job Summary
As the Research Analyst, you work within INSO’s Analysis & Research Team (ART), which delivers a responsive, data-led advisory service to global partners. Critical to the department’s success is its ability to coordinate support from INSO’s 16 country offices and its unique access to the Conflict & Humanitarian Data Centre (CHDC). The CHDC is an innovative, user-friendly platform that centralises data from INSO’s country programmes which enables quantitative analysis of over a million verified security incidents. ART offers a range of scheduled, request-based and ad hoc reporting to partners, supporting evidence-based decision-making among INSO’s humanitarian partners worldwide.
You will be working alongside another Research Analyst and the Information Manager and report to the Senior Analyst. ART is based at INSO’s Headquarters in The Hague. As this department develops, you will be a key member dedicated to providing NGO HQs with global products, services, coordination and training.
