KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The FGD facilitator to support the finalization of the research set-up and FGD guides through participation in a research design workshop. It is expected for the facilitator to take part in the workshop, to become familiar with the research design and support finalization
  • The full research team to participate in a training workshop to be facilitated by Oxfam for the FGD facilitator, key informant interviewer, field coordinator and documenter/s for them to prepare jointly for data collection, including but not limited to: a) Discussion on the concept of social norms, b) Discussion on the access to SRH information and services, c) Basic training in ethics around VAWG research, d) Basic training in interview techniques and vignette research, e) Basic training in child protection and safeguarding and Oxfam’s related policies—particularly for the respondents under the age of 18, f) Reviewing and practicing with the FGD and KII guides, g) Discussion on the target group and sampling methodology, h) Discussion on expected ways of working, e.g. confidentiality, saving the data, transcribing the interviews, feedback mechanisms and support.
