A challenging and exciting opportunity for an astute, dynamic and resourceful Public Health Promotion - Community Mobilisation Specialist with extensive capacity building, leadership and community- engagement experience. You will work as part of a multi-sectoral Capacity Building Team to support national teams and partners to develop community based solutions to WaSH challenges within the complex conflict in Yemen.
The position requires co-ordination with national partners, actors as well other stakeholders to respond to specific community needs and contexts. The CB role will involve working with national staff to develop capacity in context analysis, programme design and implementation, and working with teams to identify innovative, sustainable solutions within this context. The PHP CB will be expected to support in donor proposals, monitoring, evaluation, integrating WaSH programmes with Emergency Food Security and Livelihoods and in ensuring the quality of our WaSH programmes.
About the MECIS Region
The Middle East and Commonwealth of Independent States (MECIS) region implements and manages programmes in Yemen, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Russia, Tajikistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Contract Length: Fixed term contract for 12 months
Benefits: Hard to work allowance of £4,000 net per annum. In addition Oxfam offers staff a comprehensive benefits package including annual leave entitlements, sick pay provision, medical cover plus opportunities for learning and development. (Net = take home pay. Oxfam will meet the tax and social security liabilities of post-holder in addition to net salary)
