As senior bid manager you will be responsible for managing a small team of Roving Bid Developers. Working with the team Manager you will develop and manage a resource allocation model for this team. They will ensure resource allocation meets Oxfam Institutional Funding Strategy, and the department targets. You will also be responsible for the oversight of consortia arrangements across the team.
In addition you will lead responses to commercially tendered bids and grants that are complex, high-value, global and/or country funded. You will be responsible for managing opportunities from start to finish, including leading on capture planning and opportunity appraisal (bid/nobid).
What we are looking for
We are looking for a highly motivated professional who works calmly under pressure and delivers quality work in the tight timeframes required by the bidding process. As senior bid manager you will act in the place of the team manager where necessary, and will require strong leadership skills as defined in the Oxfam leadership model shown at the bottom of this document.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent bidding experience, with a particular focus on large / complex consortia opportunities. You will also have strong leadership qualities to motivate global bidding teams to successfully pursue grant and tender opportunities.
Some travel may be required outside of the UK equivalent to approximately 12-14 weeks per annum in order to support country programmes in competitive bidding processes

Hours: 36 hours per week
Salary: Up to £38,128-£44,286 per annum (depending on experience)
