Responsibilities:

  • Support coordination and implementation of the Community Engagement for AAP strategy (2024-2026) with hubs and programme technical teams.
  • Support the implementation of various projects at the Country Office.
  • Coordinate with the Cooperating Partners to ensure communication with communities is conducted before, during and after all programme activities.
  • Work with the CFM teams to report, track, and follow up on CP usage of WFP CFM platforms.
  • Support CFM and CwC Country Office reporting and data analysis from the CFM/CwC field activities and other system reports.
  • Support the development of assessments and monitoring exercises to inform programme decisions and review WFP Community engagement for AAP strategy.
  • Support the coordination and tracking of project AAP initiatives at the field office level and provide updates and reports.
  • Collaborate with partners to provide operational and technical support in designing and disseminating communication and engagement tools, including developing, testing, and producing high-quality community engagement and SBCC materials.
  • Support and participate in qualitative and formative research to provide quality data for evidence-based strategic and programmatic decisions.
  • Support the development of communication strategies for recurrent messages and campaigns targeted at WFP’s beneficiaries on specific topics.
  • Support the development of centralized and common tools for knowledge management, e.g., key messages, IEC materials, service mapping, visual communication products, etc.
  • Liaise and coordinate with programme colleagues to review, define, and adjust assessment and monitoring tools and processes to integrate CFM and CwC into research, assessment, and monitoring (VAM & M&E) tools and processes. 
  • Identify trends, conduct trend analysis related to AAP, and collaborate with M&E to triangulate this information.
  • Any other duties.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Rural Development, Development Studies, Social Science, Public Relations, economics, Communications, or another relevant field.

Work Experience:

At least 6 years of relevant work experience in a humanitarian organization with exposure to Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC), community feedback mechanisms, accountability to affected populations, and/or communication, protection, gender and data analysis.

Skills:

  • Proven capacity to implement Community Engagement activities with a holistic approach.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative and qualitative methods and data management software.
  • Proficient communication and report writing skills.
  • Has experience in analyzing cross-cutting issues such as protection, gender, migration, conflict sensitivity, data protection, and/or complaints and feedback mechanisms.

Languages:

Fluency (level C) in both written and spoken Arabic and English.
