Job Description

Women’s World Banking is looking for a Senior Project Manager for our Financial Services Delivery Team to plan and coordinate all aspects of banking and financial services products and services projects (savings, loans, digital, insurance, Fintech, etc.) from discovery to delivery. The ideal candidate has experience leading cross-functional teams such as research, behavioral design, strategic advisory and communications to deliver for clients in the financial services industry. Must have experience developing detailed project plans and managing all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, resolution of issues and risks, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints. Projects may vary in number, size and complexity.

  • Support the discovery, development, and drive execution of high priority business initiatives and financial products and services in developing countries for the organization’s strategic financial institution partners;
  • Establish project management best practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization;
  • Work directly with leadership, participate in project planning to define scope and objectives of programs and utilize strong project management skills, stakeholder management experience, networking, and communication skills;
  • Facilitate planning sessions to build consensus among project team members regarding task definitions, sequencing and interrelationships within the project;
  • Prepare and deliver project reports, customized dashboards, consolidated schedules, supporting documents, and presentations for program and project status meetings;
  • Monitor project progress and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs;
  • Track key performance indicators and create reports and presentations to be delivered to Asset Management, organization leadership and all relevant stakeholders;
  • Establish relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and enhance processes, leverage existing content and materials, identify interdependencies and common issues, and share leading practices across initiatives;
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously;
  • Oversee procurement and compliance;
  • Make recommendations to enhance delivery of projects;
  • Identify risk and escalate as required;

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of project management experience within the professional services, financial services and/or banking industry or similar environment,
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and strong business acumen;
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and successfully achieve objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive timelines
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, communication and meeting facilitation skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently;
  • Experience working on large scale global projects, leading cross-functional teams, ensuring milestones are on schedule and keeping stakeholders informed of progress;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required;
  • Track record of superior creativity and problem solving abilities;
  • Proven collaborative, negotiation, and persuasion skills;
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience with and a level of comfort in working across departments;
  • Aptitude for a fast pace, diverse work environment;
  • Ability to work with remote teams;

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services and/or banking products and services (savings, loans, insurance, digital, Fintech, etc.)
  • Master’s degree or PMP certification, or working towards certification
  • Experience in research, finance, financial modeling, consulting, etc.;
  • Fluency in English, a must. Fluency in Spanish, Arabic, Hindi and/or French a plus.
