The Bespoke Banking Applications (BBA) Unit develops applications that are at the heart of the EIB, supporting core business activities. We are constantly innovating the way work and how we develop software, using state of the art technologies.

Operating Network:
You will be reporting directly to the Head of Bespoke Banking Applications Unit and closely collaborating with IT teams and internal business customers.
You lead and inspire other people to grow, with your team player mind-set and leadership abilities.
You take on the challenge and make it happen! You focus on results with a self-driven and can-do attitude.
You are responsible for carrying out the analysis, design, implementation and testing of the business features in the scope of your squad.
You work closely together with the business owner to develop a vision and path to achieve it, defining priorities and coordinating with all relevant stakeholders.
You provide the “What” and the “Why” and ensure that the squad’s improvement and development ideas are aligned with the product vision.
You apply and promote DevOps and agile development practices to deliver business value on a regular basis.
You are a firm believer of continuous improvement and actively monitor key performance indicators such as DevOps Research and Assessments (DORA) metrics.
Qualifications:
University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in computer science or related disciplines
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional in IT delivery / development teams
Excellent knowledge of agile and project management principles, methods and practices
Project experience preferably with in-house developed applications, using technologies such as Java, JavaScript and React
Experience working in multicultural teams, preferably working with external service providers in a multisource environment
Good understanding of DevOps
Experience in the financial institution would be an advantage
Fluent in English and/or French and preferably a solid understanding of the other
