Job Description


The Senior Programme Manager – WASH, based in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh will be expected to lead on sectoral assessment, project planning, coordination, delivery of the project activities and monitoring the WASH deliveries, recruitment and procurement including support to PDQ team on fundraising, program quality. The post holder will be expected to mentor and/or capacity building existing country programme WASH staff.



  • Education to Bachelor, Preferred Post graduate degree in Public Health, Water Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related subject
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in humanitarian programming in WASH both on community and on institutions (education, health) Bangladeshi national
  • Experience of and commitment to working through systems of community participation and accountability in a WASH context
  • Experience of developing and supporting teams, and the ability to lead, motivate and build the capacity of staff
  • Knowledge of institutional donors and experience of developing proposals including budgeting.
  • Experience of project management including budget management of multiple awards.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Commitment to the aims and principles of SC. In particular, a good understanding of the SC mandate and child focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin our support


  • Aboard experience working in an emergency response and transition to development setting.
  • Experience on planning, design and implementation of sustainable sludge management in refugee context

CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months with possibility of extension
