Handicap International has offices in more than 55 countries and 2 HQ-based operational divisions:

  • Humanitarian Action Division (DAH)
  • Development Division (DAD)


HI is managing a large humanitarian program from four different hubs (South, Centre, North and North-East), along four main pillars:

  • Support to health partners (hospitals, care houses, psychosocial support centers, local NGOs) for the provision of comprehensive psychosocial support services ( psychosocial support, psychosocial support and/or prosthetics and orthotics) through training, technical supervisions and donations of assistive devices and/or equipment
  • Emergency response to the basic needs of vulnerable people affected by sudden crisis, through one-shot distributions of food baskets, household essential items and hygiene kits, and through the management of an adapted humanitarian coordination mechanism for emergency responses
  • Education to the risks and effects caused by conventional weapons (including mines, explosive remnants of war and small arms light weapons) and urgent marking of hazardous areas
  • Training and technical support to other humanitarian actors on the inclusion of persons with disabilities and other vulnerable persons in the humanitarian response (with a special focus on inclusive health and inclusive livelihoods)

The actual intervention is based on a mix of remote management of national teams, remote partnerships with local structures and organizations, and direct implementation programs.


Under the direct responsibility of the Area Coordinator, with the support of the Coordination in Amman, you will:

  • Be responsible of the smooth running of the Support Services within the Hub
  • Act as the main Support Services focal point of the Hub towards the Support Coordination in Amman
  • Ensure compliance of the administrative and logistic procedures, within HI internal regulations, donor’s regulation and legal frameworks
  • Maintain and update the administrative and logistics operating frameworks
  • Ensure the training and capacity-building of the logistic and administrative team under your direct and functional management
  • Enhance the coordination between Admin department / Logistics department, and between Support Services and Operational Team

  • Master degree in business administration, finance or management
  • Qualification in NGO support management (4-5 years ago)


  • 3 years of expatriate professional experience with major INGO in finance and HR
  • Experience on audit preparation and/or closure of missions/bases
  • 4-5 years of experience with INGOs as expatriate in the whole support aspects (compliance, logistic, admin, fin, HR)
  • 2-3 years with HI with proven success
  • Remote management

  • Leadership / managerial skills, capacity building
  • Strong self manager with a proven ability to prioritise tasks and excellent time management skills
