About Cenex

Cenex is a well-established, highly influential research and consultancy organisation working to accelerate the transition to Net Zero for the transport and energy sectors, but there are a few things which set us apart:-

Independent: We are not owned by anyone, and we don’t have investors. As a result, we have the freedom to be truly technology neutral. This means that if our research shows that a technology won’t work for a given application then we will share this clearly, openly and without compromise.

Not-for-Profit: We are a truly value driven organisation, made up of similarly driven individuals. We exist purely to accelerate the decarbonisation of transport across the world. As a result, our staff are always empowered to make the right decisions, rather than the ones which give the greatest financial return.

Technical Experts:  We start by hiring great people, and then we provide an environment where they can keep on growing and developing. We use our research to develop a strong evidence base and understanding around a wide range of technologies which will help us decarbonise transport. We work with industry and end users to trial new technologies, assess business cases, collect real-world data and accelerate the “market readiness” of these technologies.  We then use the learnings from our research, along with our know-how and analytics tools, to assist public and private sector organisations to identify the right technologies for the needs and values of our customers, and to identify the impact these technologies will have on their businesses.
