The Stop TB partnership funded Wave 11 initiative is working to establish a dynamic, strategic, and fresh approach to accelerate Bangladesh’s fight against TB. The project aims to promote a practical approach to address respiratory conditions by integrating non-tuberculosis (TB) lung health services and among key populations at the community level, utilizing chest X-ray (CXR) with Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The Technical Assistants will report to the Research Investigator. The position holder will perform all AI equipped CXR related tasks (radiography and imaging) in the communities or adjacent urban centers by using portable X-ray machines. S/he will be involved in :

  • Enter patient data into system;
  • Capture the best possible image and upload images on web-based software timely;
  • Incorporate CXR images with recommended AI for generating results;
  • Instruct and counsel attending patients to do a proper CXR;
  • Ensure clear image reading and necessary patient information to the Radiologist;
  • Maintain the recording of individual CXR registry, maintain required data entry in hard copy/software to secure appropriate report delivery to the client and preparation of periodic reports as required by the Central Management Team (CMT) and donor;
  • Follow-up patients and update medical records as required by the project;
  • Operate and handle a wide range of technical equipment including X-ray machine, paper/film printer, computer, scanner etc.;
  • Perform and support maintenance work periodically and share troubleshooting issues with supervisor and technical persons;
  • Cooperate and participate in health-related routine/mass activities as instructed by the supervisor or center management;
  • Required extensive travel to different communities with portable X-ray machine and other equipment to perform routine/mass campaign in the community including record keeping;
  • Carry out any other project-related task as assigned by the supervisor.

 Required qualifications and experience:

  • SSC or equivalent qualification is required; a background in Medical Technology (Radiology & Imaging) will be considered an added advantage
  • 1-year experience in conducting X-rays in reputed X-ray Laboratories; however, candidates having experience with TB related projects / portable X-ray will be given preference
