This is an exciting new role to support Tearfund’s work in Asia to increase our engagement with regional church and theology networks.
Our Theology and Network Engagement work encourages networks, denominations and organisations to learn about and participate in in Church and Community transformation work, to see the restoration of relationships with self, others, the environment and God so that poverty is reduced holistically and sustainably. It also engages with theological thinking and dialogue around the work in order to develop and support Christian approaches to development practices.
We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead the development and support the implementation of a regional theology and network engagement strategy in close collaboration with our country teams and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have excellent experience of working in churches to pursue community development, strategic relationship budilgind and theological research. Networking, influencing, communicating, training, identifying and sharing learning will all be key elements of this role, as well as representing Asia within Tearfund’s Theology and Network Engagement Team. You will have a track record of innovative collaborations, working effectively across different Asian cultures and will be familiar with good development practice.
Location: The position will be based in Asia (subject to the right to live and work in that location and Tearfund's registration requirements). Applicants must therefore possess a valid passport/visa stating the right to live and work in one of these countries.
Salary: Tearfund offer a competitive salary and benefits package. The salary is market matched and will depend on where the role is located. There are no expatriate benefits offered with this position.
