Thinking of a Career in Emergency Management?
- BY Nicole Pelette
The Sub-regional office for Mesoamerica (SLM) produces various technical texts on different areas of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, rural developments and social protection, resilient economy, South-South Cooperation, policy briefs, programme briefs, project proposals. These often come at short notice and vary in needed effort and time. To avoid having to undertake a separate sourcing process for each individual assignment, the office wishes to assess the market, and establish a roster of a selected small pool of professional translators, interpreters, and editors who are familiar with the above-mentioned technical areas in which they can then be drawn upon as needs arise. The post is based in Panama City, where FAO´s Sub-regional office for Mesoamerica is located.
