The Video Editor will play a crucial role in our creative team by transforming raw footage into a polished final product that meets the needs of our various projects. This role will involve collaborating with the production team to ensure the video content aligns with project requirements and client expectations. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of video content, from promotional videos to educational content.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation - Edit raw video footage into polished, high-quality content.
  • Collaborate with the production team to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Incorporate music, sound effects, graphics, and animations to enhance video content.
  • Implement effective storytelling techniques and ensure content aligns with brand guidelines.
  • Ensure videos are optimized for multiple outlets such as websites, social media platforms, and presentations.
  • Review and refine video content based on feedback from team members and stakeholders.

Video Management:

  • Maintain organized video assets and archives for easy access and future editing.
  • Manage video editing workflows, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project deadlines.
  • Adapt and modify content to fit various formats and platform specifications (e.g., YouTube, social media).
  • Collaboration and Communication - Work closely with other team members, including graphic designers, producers, and directors.
  • Provide input on content strategy and video production improvements.
  • Keep communication lines open to ensure alignment with production team and clients.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, Communication, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as Video Editor

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Technical Expertise Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, Avid Media Composer.
  • Soft Skills Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
