Oxfam seeks for a WASH Market Development Adviser!
In this exciting role, you will develop country-level, market-based models for Oxfam’s WASH teams to address system-wide challenges to sustainable water and sanitation services.
You will be able to deconstruct, analyse, and identify opportunities within complex water and sanitation systems; develop transformative and high-impact partnerships with non-traditional actors, and capture and utilize ongoing monitoring data to adapt and evolve our approaches in real time.
This support shall focus on developing the best role for Oxfam creating and growing financially-viable, inclusive and replicable operating systems and partnership models for the delivery of sustainable WASH services.
You will also support Oxfam’s country teams (across both Asia and sub-Saharan Africa) to look beyond ‘cookie cutter’ approaches to water and sanitation and develop innovative solutions that address context-specific barriers and chokepoints across water and sanitation ecosystems. Initial work shall span the countries of Nepal, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Kenya, though shall likely expand to include other countries in sub-Saharan Africa and possibly Southeast Asia.
The WaSH Team leads the implementation of Water strategy, one of the four core themes of the OGB programme framework (along with Work, Women and Inequality). The Programme Strategy & Impact Team (PSIT) is made up of a networked group of staff based around the world but operating as a single, coordinated advisory service for OGB PA countries.
Location: OXFORD (OXFAM HOUSE)
Salary: £30,375 - £39,380 per annum (gross). Starting salary dependent on experience
