Guided by water engineer/governance officer Amudat, The Assistant will be based in Karita since Amudat geographically is so wide. He will support the Water engineer/governance officer conduct hand pump technical assessment, and work closely with Hand pump mechanics to have repairs/rehabilitation of water sources done. He will also oversee Water user committee training, monitor WSC and Borehole functionality. He/she will work closely with sub county health assistant to collect water samples and ensure routine water testing is conducted in District water office
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
