Thinking of a Career in Emergency Management?
- BY Nicole Pelette
Do you have demonstrable experience of group management or working with networks of campaigners?
Do you have excellent marketing and communication skills that you’ve used to successfully recruit and engage young people and volunteers?
Do you have an ability to manage a range of campaigning projects and form excellent relationships with our supporter base?
If the answer is yes, then, we would like to hear from you.
The Campaign Participation Team exists to strengthen the power of people to engage with our campaigns, take meaningful action and influence change, so we can tackle the root causes of poverty. We inform and educate communities of the issues that cause and perpetuate poverty inspiring individuals to act. We empower our campaigners to make tangible change happen. We engage our supporters to take action with us regularly. We also improve the creativity and external impact of our public engagement.
What we are looking for:
As a Youth and Community Organiser you will play a crucial part in the Campaigns, Policy & Influencing Team by providing training, campaign development, mobilisation activities and support for our network of volunteers and supporters.
In this multi-faceted and challenging role, you will grow and develop Oxfam’s network of volunteers and campaign groups in universities, schools and communities as well as being a central point of contact for Oxfam supporters. You will inspire and support Oxfam volunteers to achieve Oxfam’s UK campaigns objectives, equipping them with the resources they need to campaign.
In return, we offer fair pay and competitive benefits package (see our Oxfam’s Promise attachment for more details).
Please note candidates should have right to work & reside in the UK in order to apply for this role.
