InDevJobs.org ("Website"), operated by InDev Consultancy ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Recruiter Registration
  • Full name, organisation name, official email address
  • Phone number, WhatsApp number
  • Country of operation
Alert Subscriptions
  • Email address
  • Job type preferences, experience level, geographic preferences
  • Skills and category preferences
  • Funding type and work area preferences
Job / Funding Postings
  • Job/opportunity title and description
  • Organisation name and logo
  • Contact email for CV submissions
Payments
  • PayPal account information (processed by PayPal)
  • Transaction details: payment ID, payer ID, payer email, amount, currency, and payment status

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Browser type and version, operating system
  • Pages visited, time and date of visits, time spent on pages
  • Referring website addresses
  • Device identifiers and characteristics
  • Click patterns and navigation paths

3.3 Information from Third Parties

  • PayPal (payment confirmation and payer details)
  • Google reCAPTCHA (bot detection verification data)
  • Google Analytics (anonymised website usage statistics)

  • To enable recruiters to search for and view jobseeker profiles
  • To process and publish job postings and funding opportunities

Notifications & Alerts

  • To send personalised job alerts and funding notifications based on your preferences
  • To send service-related communications (account verification, password resets, system updates)

Payment Processing

  • To process payments for premium services via PayPal
  • To maintain transaction records for accounting and audit purposes

Analytics & Improvement

  • To analyse usage patterns and improve Website functionality
  • To monitor and prevent fraudulent or suspicious activity

Legal & Compliance

  • To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes
  • To enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of InDevJobs.org, our users, or others

5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions where GDPR or equivalent regulations apply, we process your Personal Data on the following legal bases:

6. Payment Processing

InDevJobs.org uses PayPal as its sole third-party payment processor for premium services. When you make a payment:

  • You are redirected to PayPal's secure payment environment
  • We do not collect, store, or process your credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or other sensitive financial instrument details
  • PayPal provides us with limited transaction information, including: payment ID, payer ID, payer email address, transaction amount, currency, and payment status
  • All payment data transmission is encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption
  • PayPal's processing of your financial data is governed by PayPal's Privacy Policy

We retain transaction records (payment ID, payer email, amount, and status) for a minimum of seven (7) years for accounting, tax, and audit purposes, as required by applicable law.

7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Strictly Necessary Cookies

Essential for the Website to function: session cookies for user authentication, CSRF protection tokens, and session state management. Session lifetime is 120 minutes.

Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager to collect anonymised data about how visitors use our Website, including pages visited, time on site, and traffic sources. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Functional Cookies

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

9. Data Sharing & Disclosure

With Recruiters and Employers

If you register as a jobseeker, your profile information (name, qualifications, experience, CV, and other profile details) may be visible to registered recruiters and employers on the platform.

With Service Providers

We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Website (e.g., hosting providers, email service providers, payment processors), subject to confidentiality obligations.

For Legal Compliance

We may disclose your Personal Data if required by law, or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order, government agency, or law enforcement request).

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, your Personal Data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your Personal Data.

We do NOT: Sell your Personal Data to third parties; share your data for third-party direct marketing without your consent; or use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you.

10. International Data Transfers

InDevJobs.org operates globally and serves users in multiple countries. Your Personal Data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence. When we transfer Personal Data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
  • Adequacy decisions by relevant data protection authorities
  • Binding Corporate Rules where applicable
  • Your explicit consent, where other safeguards are not available

11. Data Retention

We retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected:

  • Account Data: Retained for the duration of your account and for 3 years after account deletion or inactivity
  • Payment Data: Retained for a minimum of 7 years as required by tax and accounting regulations
  • Job/Funding Data: Retained for 2 years after closing date
  • Subscription Data: Retained until you unsubscribe or for 2 years of inactivity
  • Uploaded Documents: CVs and profile documents retained for the duration of your active account. You may delete your CV at any time through your account settings
  • Analytics Data: Server logs and analytics data retained for up to 26 months

After the applicable retention period, Personal Data will be securely deleted or anonymised.

12. Your Rights

12.1 Rights Under GDPR (EEA/UK)

Right of Access

Obtain confirmation of whether we process your Personal Data and access a copy of it.

Right to Rectification

Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data.

Right to Erasure

Request deletion of your Personal Data under certain circumstances.

  • Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell your Personal Information. You have the right to opt out if we ever do
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights
  • Right to Correct: Correct inaccurate Personal Information that we maintain about you

12.3 Rights Under India DPDPA

  • Right to Access: Access a summary of your Personal Data and related processing activities
  • Right to Correction: Correct, complete, or update your Personal Data
  • Right to Erasure: Erase your Personal Data, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Right to Nominate: Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity

12.4 Exercising Your Rights

To exercise any of the above rights, please contact us at the details provided in Section 17. We will respond within 30 days (or within the timeframe required by applicable law). We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request.

13. Children's Privacy

InDevJobs.org is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us immediately.

14. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your Personal Data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit
  • Secure password hashing using industry-standard algorithms
  • Session management with HTTP-only, secure cookies
  • CSRF (Cross-Site Request Forgery) protection
  • Regular security assessments and updates
  • Role-based access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel
  • CAPTCHA verification to prevent automated abuse

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. At this time, InDevJobs.org does not respond to DNT signals. However, you can manage your tracking preferences through browser settings and the cookie management options described in Section 7.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Post the updated Privacy Policy on our Website with a new effective date
  • Notify you via email (if you have an account) or through a prominent notice on the Website
