Responsibilities:

  • Support priority regions in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the MR-SIA phases 1 and 2.
  • Support in the demand generation and advocacy activities of the MR SIA at the regional and LGU levels to successfully achieve high coverage.
  • Spearhead the review of existing activities and strategies of CHDs and LGUs to achieve high coverage.
  • Support the assessment of the scale-up of an expanded Reaching Every Purok Strategy and other innovations to improve routine immunization and contribute to measles and other vaccine-preventable elimination goals.
  • In collaboration with the UNICEF COMS team, SBC Unit, and DOH Health Promotion Bureau, support the content development of the advocacy plans, human interest stories, and case studies from the field.
  • Support the NIP Multistakeholder Coalition to mobilize resources in support of MR SIA and in strengthening routine immunization thereafter.
  • Support the conduct of the Community Health Leadership Governance and Management Program (CHLGMP) to improve governance and financing of NIP at the local levels.

Requirements:

  • University degree in one or more of the disciplines: medicine, allied medical, public health, or social sciences.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in public health programming with a focus on immunization.
  • Experience working on routine immunization and immunization campaigns.
  • With adequate knowledge and skills on the national immunization program, including COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Good leadership and program management skills.
  • Experience in providing technical assistance at different levels of the health system.
  • Experience working with the UN or UNICEF, directly or indirectly, on health or immunization is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and written and oral communication skills; people and leadership skills.
  • Be able to work in multidisciplinary teams and have the ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.
