Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the UNGA Project Coordinator at New York, USA Save the Children International office location.

Role Purpose:

  • The United Nations headquarters and institutions in New York play a critical role in shaping children’s lives and helping to ensure their rights are fulfilled.
  • The annual United Nations General Assembly high-level week (HLW) is an important opportunity for Save the Children to advance its priorities on the promotion and protection of children’s rights, hold governments to account for commitments made and to build and strengthen partnerships for children.
  • This role is responsible for leading project management of planning and delivery of the UNGA 77 engagement.
  • The position is a part-time role with an estimated 45 days of work from August to the middle of October.

Experience And Skills:

  • Good understanding of the policy and advocacy work towards to the UN.
  • Proven expereience in support organzing in person and vitural events.
  • Proven experience and ability to cordiation and project manage various complex projects across international, cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organisation skills: ability to organise own work efficiently, prioritise, and deliver multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
  • First class team player, able to collaborate closely with colleagues from a range of professional backgrounds.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to summarise complex information in a clear, compelling and accurate way.
  • Ability and appetite to work effectively with colleagues from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds.
  • Commitment to and passion for campaigning as a key approach to achieving impact for children.
  • Computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
