OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
The position of Community Mobilizer is one of the project posts within a multidisciplinary team that will be stationed in Kurram Agency. This post will provide overall community mobilization support and create effective linkages with target beneficiaries of the project and the service providers in close collaboration with community leaders and gatekeepers
In consultation with midwives and LHVs and the community gatekeepers develop practical ways to create an enabling and conducive environment for women, girls and their families to access sexual and reproductive information and services including the use of referral system in designated health facilities and other service delivery points.
Implements/undertakes community awareness rising sessions on SRH and gender issues in emergencies.
Support midwives and LHVs in the provision of antenatal care, FP and patient home visits in areas where feasible.
Facilitates community support and active engagement during the conduct of focus group discussions, mapping and other baseline related data collection activities.
Conduct master listing of women and reproductive age, adolescents and young people including pregnant women as a basis for targeting coverage of services.
Promotes and facilitates community support to project activities through regular community meetings where brief updates are shared with community leaders and elders.
Coordinates the conduct of outreach activities as needed.
Prepares monthly reports using prescribed templates and reporting format.
Facilitates timely technical and operational support to the Community Health Councils wherever they exist.
Supervises the performance of the project team personnel and ensure compliance to their respective assigned tasks and monthly deliverables
Represents UNFPA in community meetings in Kurram Agency.
Perform other tasks as assigned by Project Coordinator
Effective project delivery as per the job description of the assigned tasks.
The position will report to the Project Coordinator.
S/He has to be active team player who could contribute in overall team performance.
§ Bachelor's degree in any of social sciences or Communications course will be an advantage.
§ Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable relevant Healthcare experience.
§ Minimum of 3 years of experience in Middle East with local experience in Kurrum Agency-Fata is an advantage.
§ Fluency in Pashto and English are essential.
Project Management, community engagement team management, Financial Management, communication, capacity building, Monitoring and evaluation, Health program management, Basic skills in using MS Excel, MS Word and MS
Other relevant information:
Must be Pakistani citizen ideally from Kurrum Agency else holding FATA domicile
Qualification: Completion of secondary degree is required. University degree in any of social sciences or Communications course will be an advantage
