The Field Operations Officer works closely with the rapid response team (RRT) to support the effective delivery of GHS activities in the assigned priority region(s) by providing technical implementation, operational coordination, and field oversight.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Implementation and Project Delivery.
  • Field Coordination and Operational Management.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting.
  • Technical Documentation and Knowledge Products.
  • Compliance and Risk Management.
  • Ensures compliance with safety protocols, donor requirements, and organizational policies in all field operations.
  • Coordinates and directs activities to meet client, funder, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies, manages, and resolves risks, issues, or concerns related to field operations and implementation.
  • Contributes to writing technical briefs, reports, SOPs, policies, protocols, and manuals.
  • Contributes to the development and sharing of lessons, knowledge, innovations, and best practices, and to documenting processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of work.
  • Supports the monitoring and evaluation of the technical and programmatic effectiveness of project activities and interventions.
  • Gathers financial and technical tracking data and prepares project reports and other documents.
  • Ensures that project activities remain on schedule and within budget while leveraging technical expertise to guide adaptive management during implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or its international equivalent in public health, nursing, social sciences, development studies, civil society, management, business administration, or related field.
  • Experience in public health emergency response, outbreak operations, or rapid field deployment is desirable.
  • Typically requires at least 3 years of relevant experience in providing technical assistance and support.
  • Demonstrated experience working with government counterparts at the national, regional, and local levels, partner organizations, and community stakeholders. Previous engagement with BARMM is highly preferred.
