The Department of Management's Division of General Services (MTGS) provides support functions to the IAEA through its four sections, namely the Archives and Records Management Section (ARMS), the Commissary Management Section (CMS), the Facilities Management and General Support Section (FMGSS), and the Seibersdorf Laboratories Services Section (SLSS). 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform analyses on sales performance, procurement patterns, and assortment optimization, for example, proposing de-listing of low runners and new potential introductions.
  • Perform market research on potential new listings and suppliers and monitor market prices.
  • Investigate listing opportunities coming from product suggestions or special orders.
  • Support the procurement team with processing purchase orders, ensuring compliance with commissary rules and procedures.
  • Support the Invoice Control team with monitoring and processing invoices, credit notes, declarations, tax exemption, and customs documents.

Requirements:

  • University degree in business administration/management, economics, finance/accounting, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), especially advanced Excel knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, familiarity with databases and reporting tools, attention to detail, a problem-solving attitude, and the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage time are required.
  • Previous experience in procurement and/or invoicing functions or in a commercial role is an asset.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential; fluency in German or any other IAEA official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an asset.
