ITS shapes its strategy in response to changing business priorities and leverages new technologies to achieve three high-level business outcomes: business enablement, by providing Bank Group units with innovative digital tools and technologies to transform how they deliver value for their clients; empowerment & effectiveness, by ensuring that all Bank Group staff are connected, able to find information, and productive to accelerate the delivery of development solutions globally; and resilience, by equipping the Bank Group to provide risk-based cybersecurity and robust data protection for a global network and a growing cloud platform.

Implementation of the strategy is guided by three core principles. The first is to deliver solutions for business partners that are customer-centric, innovative, and transformative. The second is to provide the Bank Group with value for money with selective and standard technologies. The third principle is to excel at the basics by providing a high performing, robust, and resilient IT environment for the organization.

ITSFI is responsible for providing high quality, streamlined information and technology solutions for the Bank Group’s Financial services, which include Corporate Finance, Risk Management, Controls, Treasury, Loans, Accounting, and Concessional finance (managing donor contributions from inception to the point of final disbursement, including IDA, Financial Intermediary Funds and Trust Funds). 

The World Bank Group ERP Systems Management teams under ITSFE, a unit of ITSFI, supports the mission critical financial ERP Systems Technology Infrastructure end to end. Under this group, there are SAP Basis and Security, SAP HANA and Oracle database administration, Open Text and ERP Infrastructure administration which includes the server hardware, operating systems, backups, and storage administration teams.  The user base of the ERP Infrastructure product line includes all the WBG staff, all WBG Clients and country offices underscoring the importance of global professional and forward-looking real time experience for our staff and clients.

Scope Of Work:

Server Administration for ERP Infrastructure Team provides infrastructure support for all SAP applications. vBlock administration, Operating System, Server and Storage replenishment, Server commissioning, Data refresh, Filesystem/DB backup, Monitoring, and Hardware/software maintenance are some of the major activities of this team. It also takes care of Data Interface jobs and Open Text application.

Server Administrator for ERP infrastructure will require to work in the ITSFE, a Unit of ITSFI, which is responsible for providing a wide range of technical infrastructure services to meet the institution's ERP computing needs. It provides engineering, integration, and system administration services for SAP middle-wares, backup/restore and storage/disaster recovery. It also manages software and hardware contracts and maintains business and technical relationship with SAP and other vendors.

Selection Criteria:
Education:

  • Master's degree with 5 years relevant experience or Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience.

Role Specific Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Server Administrator in managing SAP Systems/Server Infrastructure with Oracle and SAP HANA.
  • Experience in Linux Red Hat RHEL 7 or later versions, and SUSE Linux 15 or later versions.
  • Experience in managing EMC storage in SAN environment. 
  • Experience in VMware vSphere 6.0 or later version.
  • Experience in Backup/HA/DR architecture setup and management. 
  • Experience in use of ITIL processes.
  • Experience in ICFR control compliance of critical financial systems.
  • Experience in UNIX shell scripts. Experience in Python scripting is a plus.
  • DBA experience in Oracle or SAP HANA systems is a plus.
