In this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of a cross functional team, to analyse business requirements, translate them into executable, functional and technical system design solutions, and apply quality assurance methods.

Our team is looking for top-notch business analysts to be the vital link between our business users and technical teams, communicate effectively with various stakeholders, and drive innovative solutions in the field of credit risk. Our mission is to develop state of the art solutions to enable effective management of the bank’s credit risk.

Operating Network:

The Credit Risk Unit (CR) develops applications that are at the heart of the EIB, supporting core business activities. We are constantly innovating in the way we work and develop software, using state of the art technologies.

In this role, you will report to the Head of Unit and will work in close contact with the unit’s Squad Leaders and with other IT and Business teams.

Accountabilities:

  • Evaluate business processes, analyse requirements, uncover areas for improvement related to the field of credit risk
  • Lead ongoing quality improvement activities and coordinate Quality Assurance processes
  • Design, code, and test scripts for data collection and manipulation for economic and regulatory capital calculations
  • Stay up-to-date on recent developments in best banking practices and regulations
  • Effectively communicate insights to software engineers for the development and implementation of solutions

Qualifications:

  • University degree preferably in Banking and Finance or related disciplines
  • Solid IT background (preferably University degree in IT) including programming skills and data analysis in the field of Financial Risk Management
  • Experience working in an agile software delivery environment
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in economic or regulatory capital requirement calculations
  • In depth knowledge of business analysis principles, methods and practices
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and recent developments (e.g., Basel III, CRR2, EBA guidelines, BCBS239)
  • Excellent knowledge of manipulating large datasets using SQL, preferably using IBM DataStage
  • Good functional and technical knowledge of Moody’s Risk Authority
  • Knowledge of designing logical and physical database models
  • Knowledge of project management principles, methods, and practices would be an advantage
  • Fluent in English and/or French and preferably a solid understanding of the other
