Job Description

BACKGROUND:

The Operations Department (DO) of Humanity & Inclusion brings together 5 geographic directions, 6 technical directions, an emergency direction and a transversal direction.

Within the Middle East Geographic Direction, the Grant Officer works under the management of the Geographic Director, and in collaboration with the Operations Officer in charge of Syria and Yemen who is his team leader.

We are currently seeking to temporarily replace the incumbent while on mission in the field.

OBJECTIVES OF THE POST:

As a Grant Officer in Syria / Yemen, you will be responsible for the management of the donor contracts, the coordination and the proper functioning of the headquarters-field-National Associations.

Your level of involvement in the tasks below will be continuously monitored in order to guarantee a gradual process of headquarters - field decentralization (transfer of responsibility / subsidiarity).

You support the programs in the preparation of intervention proposals

  •  Guarantee the respect of donor frameworks and guidelines and propose internal frameworks and guidelines
  •  Guarantee compliance with internal planning and deadlines
  •  Consolidate operational, technical, administrative and financial contributions in connection with program teams, the Desk team, technical areas and support services, and ensures the quality control of documents
  •  Are in charge of the lessor deposit

You support the programs in the preparation of donor reports (intermediate and final reports)

  •  Guarantee the respect of donor frameworks and guidelines and propose internal frameworks and guidelines
  •  Keep track of reporting deadlines, linked to programs
  •  Consolidate operational, technical, administrative and financial contributions in connection with field teams and the Desk team and ensure the quality control of documents
  •  Are in charge of the lessor deposit

Cross-cutting and Ad-hoc activities

  •  Ensure the coordination of the Desk with the National Associations of the Handicap International network regarding writing and submitting projects / reports
  •  Contribute to the writing of certain sections of project documents / reports, in the event that an exceptional need for support is required by the program
  •  Contribute to briefings / debriefings of expatriate Grant Officers, and contribute to internal training
  •  Contribute to the capitalization of donor files; continuous improvement of donor contract management tools.

PROFILE REQUIRED:

  •  At the Master 2 level in International Cooperation, Political Science or Social Science, you benefit from a first work experience within an international humanitarian or developing NGO.
  •  You know the donor rules (EU; USAID; DFID; etc.) and you control the project cycle.
  •  You demonstrate very good writing skills (in English and French)
  •  You have a good spirit of synthesis and communication
