The Directorate manages the functions of the Ethics and Accountability Unit (COR/EAU), the Risk Management and Compliance Unit (COR/RCU), the Divisions of Financial Resource Management (COR/FIN) and Human Resources Management (COR/HRM), as well as the following Services: Procurement Services (COR/PRO); Digitalization, Innovation and TC Optimization Services (COR/DIT); Facility Management Services (COR/BMS); and Asset Management and Logistics Services (COR/AML). The Directorate also manages personnel security and safety matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to UNIDO’s workforce planning, including to the Committee on Workforce Planning.
  • Manages UNIDO’s position table in the ERP Organizational Module (OM), in collaboration with COR/FIN on financial aspects.
  • Maintains UNIDO’s organizational chart, reporting relationships and roles in the OM.
  • Provides or participates in briefings to staff members on conditions of service, and provides guidance and counselling to staff of all categories on entitlements.
  • Regular and systematic monitoring of applicable entitlements and allowances and initiating timely review and follow up actions, certification of claims for education grant, rental subsidy and dependency allowance.
  • Regular review and monitoring of annual leave and sick leave entitlements of field staff.
  • Certification of requests for issuance of UNLPs, legitimation cards, grounds passes and family certificates, and drafting of related correspondence.
  • Administration of travel entitlements, which requires review of eligibility to entitlements for staff and family members, timely processing of travel authorizations to ensure timely receipt of lump sum payments or tickets, and providing advice to staff members on various options available for travel entitlements and ascertain that security requirements are met.

Education:

  • Completed higher secondary education. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Credit towards total working experience may be considered on a year by-year- basis, up to maximum of four years, for a first university degree or equivalent diploma, in a field relevant to the post.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of working experience in human resources, administration,  in  administrative support role, preferably in an international organizations  is required.
  • Experience in handling benefits, entitlements, and contract administration, including the application of staff rules, regulations and practice in an international organization and multicultural environment, or in the UN system, is required.
  • Experience/proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), internet, is required.
  • Experience in and knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system is desirable.

 Languages:

  • Fluency in written and oral English required.
  • Fluency in or working knowledge of other UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an asset.
