The position leads the adaptation and coordination of program development systems to strengthen GGGI’s project pipeline and funding base. Reporting to the Head of the Green Growth Implementation Front Office (DGGI-FO), the role drives internal efforts to design high-quality, fundable proposals and identify new program opportunities. It enhances internal collaboration mechanisms, ensures alignment with strategic priorities and donor expectations, and supports quality control and timely submission of proposals. The role also contributes to improving project design and management systems, enabling more consistent, responsive, and effective program delivery across country and regional teams.

ENGAGEMENT

  • Persuades and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to advance GGGI’s business development and partnership goals.
  • Advises senior leadership on strategic donor and partner engagement opportunities.
  • Guides cross-directorate collaboration to ensure coherent proposal development and donor relations.
  • Builds internal capacity on business development systems and ensures efficient progression from concept to proposal sign-off.
  • Ensures compliance with partner obligations through coordination with Governance, Legal, Finance, and country teams.
  • Mentors regional and country-level business development staff to promote a unified partnership approach.
  • Leads the Project Management Task Force, organizing meetings and driving implementation of delivery-enhancing recommendations.

DELIVERY

  • Adapts and improves internal systems for proposal development and project cycle management to enhance responsiveness and quality.
  • Implements recommendations from the Project Management Task Force to strengthen delivery mechanisms and operational effectiveness.
  • Contributes to the development and rollout of organization-wide partnership strategies, including Project Cycle Management 2 and CRM (Salesforce) database maintenance for signed and pipeline proposals.
  • Coordinates with Regional MEL Task Force and relevant staff to develop systems for monitoring and reporting aligned with GGGI and donor requirements.
  • Liaises with donors to provide inputs on implementation priorities, programmatic focus, and geographic engagement.
  • Maintains and updates project documentation, including agreements, reports, and MoUs, in GGGI Online and other systems.
  • Identifies delivery risks and formulates control actions to ensure effective execution of partnership workstreams.
  • Aligns internal resources and timelines with partnership and programmatic targets to meet organizational and donor expectations.
  • Assures quality of partnership and project management in compliance with corporate and partner policies.
  • Participates in institutional working groups to improve proposal development, financial and administrative project creation, and reporting processes.
  • Produces annual reports on initiatives led by DGGI to enhance project management and delivery performance.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Post-graduate qualifications in international relations, business administration, economics, environmental studies, or related thematic areas.
  • Relevant professional experience (preferably 10 years) with managerial and budget responsibilities, in partnership management, business development, or international relations. As well as proven experience in project management and proposal development.
  • Proficiency in project cycle management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with CRM databases (e.g., Salesforce) and project management software.
  • Experience working with developing countries and working experience in multi-cultural environments is a must.
  • At least two (2) years of working experience, outside of home country.
  • Proficient written and spoken English is a requirement
